I used to think I sucked at playing guitar when i was… lazy. Now I think I whale.
Having fun doing some designs for the band Open Fire from Tacoma, WA. Great band and good dudes. Pending approval on the second two and ended up selling the first one to We Are Level Clothing. Just figured i’d post something on here.

Ive been working on getting my own brand up and going. I know there is a TON of brands out there right now. Im not looking to have some huge clothing company. Im not looking to get rich off selling clothes. Although it would be nice. Im starting this as a personal project (with help from others) so I can design and print anything I want to.
Since high school i’ve been designing apparel for bands, clothing companys, and anything that requires graphic art. You have to make changes to your artwork for clients even if you think the changes make it look worse. It does help get your name out there. No i’m not going to give you a deal so you promote me. I dont need your “promotion” aka telling your friends band to check out my flickr. As it gets more serious, unfortunately, it takes a lot of joy out of it.
With all of that said. These will be my designs I want to print. I always enjoy feedback on anything that I do. If your gonna be a dick and said something like your brand sucks go kill yourself then just keep it to yourself… Before I release anything I’ll have a website, blog, webstore, and free stuff to send out. I was hoping to have it all printed by July but with recent financial issues it might be pushed back to a fall release. Cant win ‘em all! Be on the lookout for Arrows & Daggers!

ricco:I started doing merchandise for Chelsea Grin in February 2010. I’ve been friends with the members since before Chelsea Grin was a band and since then things kind of fell in place.

So I’m really starting to buckle down and push out a lot of new designs. Right now I’m just selling them but hopefully by summer time I’ll be able to start printing my own stuff! Really looking forward to making clothes and designs for myself and not for anyone else. I’ll have a website, estore, facebook, ect. soon with a glimpse of all the designs i’ll be selling. Everything will be reasonably priced with good quality products. (not printing with a home screen on beefy tees). I’ll keep everyone updated!

Stranded once again! Laying here in the freezing cold made me realize it doesn’t matter how big your band is or how big of a tour your on. Shit happens and you really can’t do anything about it. I’m ready to take this risk with my own band. My own music. I’m ready to prove people wrong and also prove to myself that I can actually make something of this. I’m tired of sitting and making excuses. Bottom line I can’t wait to get home and make a name for Something About Airplanes. The road is where I belong. No excuses. I’m ready to take the risk.
I’m actually updating my flickr! About time I get it together.
